With annual Concerts at St Mary’s, Aldermaston, we aim to bring all types of music into an ancient and beautiful space. In do so, we hope to raise valuable funds to keep this Grade 1 Listed Building available for use by the local community as both a church and a community building.

Samuel Austin and Minna

Slacker-folk music from the heart of Wiltshire.

Samuel Austin

Samuel Austin fuses traditional folk sounds with satirical modern themes in a lo-fi analogue style. Big harmonica solos give way to thoughtful and moody moments, he embodies laid-back, fun music making.

Minna

Minna, a London-based artist, hails from The Scottish Borders, tracing her familial roots to the region. Immersed in a household of musicians and songwriters, she developed a profound connection to folk music from an early age. She has spent the last year recording in London and LA, gigging at every opportunity, whether that is supporting Russell Crowe, Newton Faulkner, headling Greennote, St Pancras Old Church or playing the Union Chapel. This next phase of her artistry sees the release of her second EP, ‘Always better in the rain’ inspired by walking the Camino de Santiago towards the end of the year. It also sees the first of a series of EPs, each inspired by different adventures, places or unique experiences.
She is currently working on a project with John Illsley (Dire Straits) ‘I want to write songs inspired by the feelings, stories and lessons you can only get from adventures’
